Hewing to a tried-and-true winning formula – ingredient-driven rustic Italian cuisine, affordable vino and artisanal cocktails – the bamboo-floored Berkeley newcomer Locanda da Eva hopes to outfox a cursed location with a slate of wood-fired pizzas, housemade pastas and sustainably sourced fish, fowl and flora, complemented by 20 food-friendly wines by the glass; the innovative drink list, featuring lots of apéritifs and digestifs, is offered along with the bar menu until midnight.
