Outside Art: Block Party Benefit
Want to be a witness to street art history? Make sure you’re at 161 Erie Street this Sunday, August 1st from 11am to 7pm for a Block Party Benefit filled with art, music, food, and even score a free haircut.
Local artists, DJs and ororganizations are coming together in a combined effort to not only support art, music, and green living, but to finish a mural started by the elusive international street artist, Banksy. The live mural painting will be backed with some music, and you can even get a free haircut by simply donating to Matter of Trust. A new do’ and you get to help the environment, how can you say no to that?
Admission to this one day art and music assembly will only set you back a $5 donation, but 100% of all proceeds go to the Root Division and The San Francisco Parks Trust. Lasting from 11am to 7pm will be an event filled with art, music, food, and even free haircuts.
GetWize: Haven’t seen a Banksy mural in person before? If you want to check one out before this one is finished, make your way to Chinatown at Grant and Commercial.
