Two Offbeat Dining Clubs Hit San Francisco
A wine society and a supper club are on their way to San Francisco for a weekend of events. The Noble Rot is a travelling vino salon based in Brooklyn, while a razor, a shiny knife throws secret dinners all around the Big Apple. The two groups have partnered and plan to host tasting parties on August 13 and 14.
Winos will like the Friday event, which is titled Garagiste Meets Establishment: A Tale of Two Winemakers. The gig takes place in a Presidio Heights private residence and features a tasting guided by Cali winemakers David Ramey and Jeff Morgan. Guests will get to taste at least six wines and enjoy music from a yet-to-be named San Francisco act. Tickets are $62 and the event lasts from 7–10 PM.
On Saturday, a razor, a shiny knife presents a dinner billed as “traditionally modern.” The group plans to create a meal that is rooted in the traditions of the past, but executed with cutting-edge technologies. If you want a sneak peek of said technologies, you’re encouraged to come early to play with the liquid nitrogen. The dinner, which also takes place at a private residence, costs $161 and starts at 6 PM.
You can learn more about the events and buy tickets here. And, please, be careful with the liquid nitrogen.
